Financial data — none.No personal financial data you enter into any calculator is ever transmitted to Budget Folders. Numbers you type into input fields stay in your browser's memory and are discarded when you navigate away or close the tab.

Personal data — none required. Budget Folders does not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifying information to use any feature of this site.

Anonymous analytics — possibly. We may use standard anonymous web analytics (such as aggregate page view counts) to understand which calculators are most useful. If analytics are used, they are configured to:

• Not collect personal identifiers
• Not track financial data entered in calculators
• Respect browser Do Not Track signals where supported
• Anonymize IP addresses

Our calculators are built as client-side JavaScript applications. When you press "Calculate" or change any input, the math happens entirely within your device's web browser using local JavaScript — no data is sent to a server, database, or third-party service.

This is a deliberate design choice. Financial information — how much your home costs, how much debt you have, what your salary is — is among the most sensitive personal data. We chose an architecture that makes it technically impossible for us to see or store it.

Some calculators may use your browser's localStorage to optionally remember your last-used input values when you return to a calculator. This data:

• Is stored only on your own device, never on our servers
• Can be cleared at any time through your browser's settings
• Is automatically deleted when you clear your browser's site data or cookies
• Contains only the input values (numbers) you entered, not personal identity data

If you prefer not to use local storage, you can disable it in your browser settings or clear site data after each visit. Calculators will function normally without it.

Budget Folders does not use cookies to track your financial data, serve you targeted advertising, or build a profile of your financial behavior.

If anonymous analytics are enabled, a minimal analytics cookie may be used to distinguish unique visitors for aggregate statistics. This cookie does not contain personal or financial information.

Some calculators and content pages link to external authoritative resources such as IRS publications, government financial websites, and educational financial resources. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies and data practices, which we do not control.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit from a link on Budget Folders.

Budget Folders is intended for adults making personal financial decisions. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

Budget Folders respects Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. If your browser is configured to send a DNT signal, we will not use analytics tracking for your session.

Because we do not collect or store your financial data, there is no financial data at risk in the event of a security incident affecting our servers. The site is served over HTTPS to protect data in transit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
